Sculpture Tasmania is a not-for-profit group who exist to support and promote sculptors and the concepts of sculpture in the Tasmanian landscape. For the third year running, the group will be presenting the Ross Tin Can Sculpture Show at the Thistle Inn Gallery this October.
The 2022 exhibition will be in two venues – the Thistle Inn Stable Gallery and the Ross Hotel and Gardens. There will be celebrations, including a Long Lunch with Conversations and a Walk and Talk Experience during the weekend of 29 and 30 October. The walk will take in the pop-up sculpture experience, as well as highlighting the established sculpture installations in the town.
An Ephemeral Workshop will also be on offer in the Ross Hotel gardens over the course of the event. The workshop is designed to suit all ages and will involve the use of vegetation and found objects to create unique sculptures.
